Yesterday's roundup featured on a number of defensive options that Bolton Wanderers are rumored to be looking at. Owen Coyle had said that he would like to bring in at least three new players with a full back, center half, and striker on his wishlist and even though Bolton's midfield is not an area lacking in depth, one of those would be nice too. Depth isn't an issue but strength in command certainly is and it is something that the Trotters have missed in almost the entirety of Stuart Holden's extended absence.
Without further ado, hit the jump for who Bolton Wanderers might be taking a look at come January:
At just 18 years old (19 in a few days), young McEachran has earned himself ten Premier League appearances in the Chelsea midfield over the last two seasons as well as having played in six Champions League matches. There are a few other clubs in the mix for him including Swansea City and Aston Villa.
The Racing Genk midfielder is 26 years old and can play in center or on the left of the midfield and can be set a little further back for a more defensive role. He made his debut for the Hungary national team six years ago and has logged 20 caps with a goal. In the current season of the Jupiler Pro League in Belgium, he's made 19 appearances with two goals and seven assists to his name. He moved to Genk from AEK Athens in the summer of 2008 for a fee in the region of £1.5 million.
The Striker is currently at Championship club Watford who currently sit well in the bottom half of the Premier League table. In 22 matches (1788 minutes) played this season, he has scored six times making for a Bolton-esque goal/minute ratio of one to every 298 minutes. He also has six assists and at 20 years old, he's young and ready to enter Owen Coyle's finishing school. At 5 foot 8, he would be Bolton's shortest attacking option by at least three inches. He's reported to be rated at about £5 million with Blackburn Rovers also keen on him.
