We haven't checked in with the Bolton youngsters in about a month. Guess what? They're still winning!
Last time we checked on the Bolton Academy, about a month ago, David Lee and Tony Kelly's squad had just defeated Everton's U-18s squad by a score of 4-2 to keep their unbeaten run going. Since then, the baby Whites have played three matches and have won all three!
Each team U18 Premier League National Group has played nine games so far, with the exception of two teams (Arsenal and Blackburn have completed eight). After nine matches, Bolton are firmly top of the table, sitting on 25 points. That means that after those nine matches, Bolton Wanderers U-18s have dropped a grand total of just two points. They are five points clear of second-place Reading and a massive 14 points clear of Everton, Arsenal, and West Ham, who are occupying second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
These are the results and goalscorers since we last checked in on them:
West Bromwich Albion 0-1 Bolton Wanderers
Georg Iliev
West Ham United 0-4 Bolton Wanderers
Elliot Newby
Luke Woodland
Zach Clough
Georg Iliev
Bolton Wanderers 4-2 Norwich City
Tom Youngs - 3 goals
