Officially Official: Lennie Lawrence Is The New Bolton Wanderers Assistant Manager

Stay connected for news and updates

Dougie Freedman has landed his number two. It seems that Bolton Wanderers have agreed compensation with Crystal Palace for Dougie's Eagles assistant, Lennie Lawrence, to come over the the Reebok finally. There was a lot of will-he-won't-he but the news has finally been made official by the Bolton Wanderers club Twitter account.

Lawrence took charge of two games as Crystal Palace caretaker manager. In his first game, he gained a 1-1 draw with Barnsley, with news of his temporary appointment having come on very short notice. In his second match, he took Crystal Palace to Leicester City and they handed the Foxes their first home defeat of the season, beating the team that was, at that point, top of the Championship table.

Welcome Lennie, I'm more than glad that Bolton Wanderers can use your experience. We are assuming that Jimmy Phillips, Sammy Lee, and Julian Darby will return to the Academy setup but we wait for official word.
