The mighty Bolton Wanderers recorded a win yesterday after 70 minutes of play that would put even the cutest puppy to sleep. At one point, I vividly remember a passing spell between Keith Andrews and Sam Ricketts and it was pretty much this in real life:
It all changed once Martin Petrov and David Ngog found their way onto the field though. Ngog's first goal was a must see, a silky-smooth finish that can really only be described as the Championship-value version Johan Elmander's stunning goal vs Wolves. Martin Petrov had made the play work by putting an incisive ball into the box with Ngog in just enough space to tell the boys in red to look at him.
The second goal wasn't half bad either thanks to a nice bit of 1-2 play between David Ngog and Kevin Davies. Ngog got the ball on the inside edge of the penalty box, took it center, and hit the ball with a lot of power. Ben Hamer got a hand to it but it wasn't anywhere near enough to keep the ball out of the back of the net.
