Jacob Butterfield Loan Extended by One Month

Earlier this week it look as though Jacob Butterfield would be heading back to his parent club, Norwich City, as his original one month loan deal expired. However it was announced today by Bolton News writer Marc Iles on Twitter that the loan is to be extended by one more month.

It was rumoured that Norwich wanted him back at Carrow Road for their Capital One Cup fixture on Tuesday, but it would appear not. Butterfield has thus far made four appearances for Bolton, but in those he has really impressed, fitting well into Dougie Freedman's new system. He even earned our MOTM award for his performance against Blackburn. His loan extension is a real boost to Bolton, especially until Stuart Holden's return, which may be as far away as late January, early February. This new deal will take him to the January transfer window, and we will have to see what Hughton wants then.
