After missing Bolton Wanderers' first four games of the preseason with a back problem, forward David Ngog could feature tonight against League Two side Morecambe. In their first four games, Bolton sorely missed a goalscoring touch in their ranks. Out of those four matches, the Trotters have managed a grand total of three goals with two coming from midfielders and one from a defender.
It's very likely that Owen Coyle will take a more cautious approach to this friendly after a number of players, who have been dealing with minor injury issues, will sit this one out. Chung-Yong Lee, Zat Knight, Chris Eagles, and Tim Ream will likely play no part against the Shrimps. Meanwhile, central defender Matt Mills, who sat out the Crewe Alexandra match, could start alongside Sam Ricketts at the back with Joe Riley (or Tyrone Mears) and Marcos Alonso alongside him.
Here's hoping Ngog finds his scoring touch and finds it early this year.
