Two penalties and a bit of bad luck for Bolton Wanderers were pretty much the story of the showdown between the Trotters and Millwall at the Reebok Stadium.
The first goal came for Millwall on just nine minutes after a very, very poor backpass from Keith Andrews left a lot to be desired. The lack of pace on the ball allowed Millwall's Andy Keogh to pounce on the opportunity and run at Zat Knight. A bit of clumsy footwork from Zat (something that Bolton fans were very accustomed to in the Premier League) took Keogh's legs out from under him and the Wanderers players could not protest the penalty decision. The take from the spot by Keogh was cool and comfortable as Adam Bogdan dove only to watch the panenka penalty glide in.
25 minutes later, Bolton were given a penalty at the other end as Chung-Yong Lee drove through the center of the park and into the penalty box. Danny Shittu brought the Korean winger down and again, it was difficult to argue the call. Keith Andrews took the penalty and hit his fourth goal in five games (all of which came from the spot) to equalize for Bolton.
The Trotters nearly won it late but Kevin Davies' effort was well cleared off the line by an alert Millwall defense.
