Young striker Tom Eaves has pledged his immediate future to Bolton Wanderers after signing a three year contract extension with the club. Eaves, 21, came to Bolton Wanderers from Oldham Athletic for a fee in the neighborhood of £200,000 in 2010. The tall (6'5") striker caught the eye of Owen Coyle after he scored a hat trick against the Trotters in a preseason friendly.
Eaves just returned from a loan stint at Bristol Rovers where he made 15 appearances for the Pirates and scored seven goals for them. They had inquired about extending the loan but manager Dougie Freedman declined to send Eaves out again, suggesting that he could figure in first team proceedings soon. Hopefully this starts a streak of contract extensions at the club.
