Yesterday, we wrote about Tom Eaves' latest exploits and League One side Shrewsbury Town. The young Bolton Forward scored a midweek brace to help Shrews on their way to an important win away to MK Dons. Eaves originally went to Shrewsbury on a one-month loan but now he's come and stated that he'd like to extend his stay.

Speaking to BBC Radio Shropshire, the 21-year-old said:

"I can't see why I wouldn't want to stay, but it's up to Dougie Freedman.

"But I've had a great time, settled in really well with the lads, and now got a soft spot for the club."

Eaves also went on to show his affection for Town manager Graham Turner:

"In his pre-match talks he gets us fired up for the games.

"You can tell he's an expert in doing that, and I've got nothing but respect for him. I just listen to everything he says - I can learn from him because I'm still young."

Eaves has scored three goals in five games and it would most likely be a benefit for him to extend his loan with Shrewsbury Town. With David Ngog, Craig Davies, Marvin Sordell, and Kevin Davies all fighting for forward spots, it's extremely unlikely that Eaves would get a look in.
