Bolton Wanderers Monday Set Pieces
This Week's Set Pieces
First off, I'd like to apologize for the delay in (what is normally) our Monday Set Pieces. With the holiday weekend here in the United States and the Gary Speed developments, it's been tough to concentrate on anything Bolton Wanderers. That said, let's see what we missed in the whimsical world of the Whites this past weekend.
Monday Set Pieces
In the middle of an international break, Bolton Wanderers are again undefeated for two weeks straight. How about that? Last week was a bit of a slow news week for the mighty Trotters but as the Premier League is once again around the corner, there's plenty going on in the world of the Whites.

How sweet it is to have beaten Stoke City by a massive 5-0 to get our first home win of the season. We covered as much as we possibly could in yesterday's match report but here's the stuff from the weekend that slipped by us like every opposition player through our defense until now:

Another week following a Bolton loss and we're all trying to look on the bright side. Out from the ashes of the fans unhappiness after Swansea came the resounding shouts of "Bolton 'Til I Die" and that the fans are still largely behind Owen Coyle with confidence that this team can turn it around. Off the pitch, there's plenty of things happening in the world of Bolton Wanderers.
Monday Set Pieces
It's always darkest right after a Bolton Wanderers loss, isn't it? Well here comes the Lion of Vienna Suite, carrying the torch of various links from the weekend to brighten up this cloudy (at least in Rochester, NY) Monday. To start off, look at how terrified this child is standing next to Marcos Alonso:

How much better is everything following a Bolton Wanderers win? The sky is blue, the air smells sweet, and the haters are still out in full force. I'm sorry, say what? That's right, despite an overall good performance from our mighty Bolton Wanderers, everyone still has an opinion. This week's Monday Set Pieces features some quotes from Owen Coyle, some more quotes from Gary Cahill, a dumb opinion via the Twitter, some idiots that claim to understand the Premier League but clearly don't, and Trotters searching for new talent. Hit the jump to see what's what.

So, it's the international break. While I am not one of it's many critics, and I (masochistically, considering my allegiance with England) enjoy international football, it does mean that news is a bit sparse on the Bolton front. And by sparse, I mean every single Bolton story published in the last 48 hours is Cahill related. This is not an exaggeration, and if you're a long term reader, you know how I feel about writing more about Cahill. I've published my opinions on him and various transfer rumours involving him ad nauseam. So I'm going to do it again! And write about some stories from last week that we missed out on. Hit the jump for a round up of Wandereriness.

The weekend after a loss to a very high-profile team means that the news is full of stories about them and not us. Fortunately, you have us to sort through the rubbish to bring you a few news stories having to deal with your mighty Wanderers in order to keep you in the loop.
Without much further ado, we invite you to hit the jump to keep reading.
