Bolton Wanderers On the Trot: Internationals
Tim Ream Not Included in First Round of USMNT Call Ups
United States Men's National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has announced the first half of the team's camp leading up to World Cup qualifiers this summer. Klinsmann has decided to announce the camp in two sets: one today and one
Klinsmann will call in a total of 29 players, cutting six to make final 23-man roster for the United States' World Cup qualifying campaign. Tim Ream has not made the first cut by being brought into the team.
On the Trot: Midweek Internationals
The frantic midweek international break probably ranks up there with my least favourite. It gives the players just enough time to get into their groove with their countrymen before returning to the club, where they will then have to get back in the swing of things there. Anyway, the powers that be have never consulted bloggers' opinions on the scheduling of international matches, and Wednesday it was. Quite a few Wanderers were involved in the action and luckily for you, we're here to give you a run down
On the Trot: International Wanderers
It seems that the list of Trotters involved in international action keeps getting shorter and shorter, mainly because it is. Perhaps if the club's form picks up, we'll see this trend reversing, but for now Wanderers fans have little to worry about injury-wise. Silver lining and all that. Anyway, without further ado let's get to our players who have been on the trot.
On the Trot: Euro Qualifying Wanderers
Now that the Run of Fixtures of Death™ has finally ended, the international break could not have come at a better time to give the Wanderers some breathing room after the Chelsea match before they take on Wigan Athletic. There are six Bolton Wanderers away on international duty this time around. Hit the jump to see just who they are.
On the Trot: Half of an International Break
The first round of international matches is over, and the biggest story is undoubtedly the success of Gary Cahill. When he was called up, I wrote a rather pessimistic post on it, saying he would never play anyway. Obviously Capello read that and decided to spite me, although I was by no means the only one who was surprised when Gaz was handed a start for the Euro qualifier against Bulgaria. He didn't disappoint either, for more on that check out Mark's earlier post.
